SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Brenda Bailey is on a roll. Since September, she has won $167,600 -- ending a long streak of bad luck.

When WSAZ.com met Bailey at her home in South Charleston, she was battling a leaky roof. Two years ago her family's business, B&B Body Shop in Dunbar, caught on fire.

"We've tried to snap back from that," Bailey said.

But she's made quite a comeback -- just by scratching the surface. Bailey has hit the jackpot on five scratch-off tickets. The largest prize came on Monday when she won $100,000 in the Price is Right Game that she bought at the GoMart in Dunbar. Her other winnings from various instant games include $50,000 in April, $1,000 in March, $6,000 in January and $10,000 in September -- for a total of $167,600.

Bailey, who said she doesn't play very often said, "It's one of those awesome things that has happened, and I don't think we will ever be able to explain it, but I am so thankful."

Bailey is already planning to replace her roof with her winnings. She also hopes to pay off her mortgage and help others. Finally, this mother of three, grandmother and caregiver for sick and elderly people hopes to relax.

"My husband and I will celebrate our 43rd wedding anniversary in July, and we're going to take us a little vacation," Bailey said. Adding, "It's been 10 years since we've been anywhere."

Lottery Director John Musgrave said no one on his staff can recall a similar streak of luck.
