Heimlich Saves Drug Suspect
A Huntington police officer may have saved a man's life Sunday night.
A suspect, in jail on possession charges, tried to swallow a bag of marijuana to avoid arrest.
According to the police report, Sergeant Darrell Booth had to perform the heimlich maneuver more than 30 times before Evan Litton coughed up the plastic bag.
The bag was the size of a handball.
Litton confessed it was filled with marijuana.
