A steel fabricating company out of Michigan has decided to open a new location in the Prichard Industrial Park in Wayne County. Harbor Steel will eventually create up to 50 new jobs with the 2 million dollar investment. The company has already hired several workers, and they’re still looking for truck drivers, equipment operators and warehouse workers. Anyone who is interested in applying for a job at the new company should send a resume to the company’s existing location in Lexington, Kentucky. The address is as follows: Harbor Steel and Supply Corporation, 2200 Camry Court, Lexington, Kentucky, 40511.
Also today, the park where the company is located in Wayne County was re-dedicated as the A. Michael Perry Prichard Industrial Park. Perry serves on the Huntington Area Development Council Board of Directors. Perry helped develop the original vision for the project and he became emotional today at the surprise announcement and renaming of the park. Harbor Steel is the final tenant to locate at Prichard. The park is now full with several businesses employing hundreds of workers. The project is a partnership between the Huntington Area Development Council and the Wayne County commission.
