HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- We've all wanted to hit the open road. Just leave on a whim and go wherever our car takes us.

But one young man is doing just that. He's traveled all across the South, and he has made a stop right here in our region.

Andrew Fu stopped in Huntington over the weekend and quickly made friends with the firefighters at the city's fire department. Fu's trip is all about one thing: gaining life experience.

"It's been a dream," Fu said. "I quit my job and sold everything I had, and hit the road."

With nothing but his laptop, a car and a dream, Fu hit the open road. To date, he's made stops in more than 20 states. And while many people have made cross-country trips, the kid from California documents his trip digitally.

His blog, whereisthefu.com, allows users to track his every move during his trip. It includes pictures, videos, maps and much more via a live feed.
