A bridge linking Huntington and Proctorville, Ohio, is being renamed in honor of Marshall football great Frank "Gunner" Gatski.
A sign for the Frank Gatski Memorial Bridge will be unveiled at Marshall's home game with U-TEP Saturday in Huntington.
Members of Gatski's family, former teammate Sam Clagg and state lawmakers who sponsored the resolution to rename the East Huntington Bridge are expected to be at the ceremony.
Gatski played center for Marshall from 1940 to 1942 and was the first Marshall football player to have his number retired.
The NFL Hall of Famer played in ten straight championship games for the Cleveland Browns during the 1940s and 1950s.
Gatski died in November 2005 in Morgantown.
