Local Pharmacist Faces Drug Charges

Police and federal agents raided a Russell, Kentucky pharmacy Monday afternoon and arrested the pharmacist, David Gregory Jones. Jones faces 559 counts of drug trafficking. The pharmacy, Express Rx on U.S. Route 23 was closed briefly while police took Jones into custody.

Jones is accused of selling narcotic painkillers to addicts and drug dealers. He was one of 50 people arrested Monday in a drug sweep across eastern Kentucky.
