November 23

Like the swallows returning to capistrano, shoppers return to the mall every year after Thanksgiving. Whether they're looking for that hard to find gift or just bowing to family tradition, Black Friday, as it's known, will be one of the busiest days for shoppers.

Retailers, for the most part will enjoy the Thanksgiving break, because Friday will start bright and early.

Unfortunately, a lot of criminals like to get out early, too. West Virginia 's attorney general says it's important for people to remember to keep their credit and debit cards in safe keeping at all times.

The stores will be protecting themselves from thieves as well. Elaborate security measures are in place at most major retailers these days...and that security is stepped up for the holidays.
