The model train show is fiilled with holiday trains, replicas of towns and trains in our region...and memories. The Tri-State is rich in railroad heritage and these layouts show that off.

For the Dempseys, model railroading is a family affair. According to Mike Dempsey, he's in charge of the track, his wife's job is the scenery and son Joey is the Trainmaster. He say it was a lots of work but the layout looks great. The Dempseys made a lot of the layout themselves.

The show runs all weekend at the Veterans Memorial Field House in Huntington.

The Kanawha Valley Railroad has its open house next weekend at Coonskin Park in Charleston. The train display is over 50 feet long and takes up the entire building. The Club's Open House runs from November 30th to December 17th.
