From the moment he stepped on a court for Rose Hill as an eighth grader, O.J. Mayo has become a household name in our region.
Now that the basketball phenom has returned home to play for the Huntington Highlanders, local hoop heads have become even more excited. On Saturday night, Mayo made his debut in a Huntington High uniform.
Of course, those rankings are not all because of Mayo. Patrick Patterson is also considered one of the top players in the country, and Chris Early has committed to play basketball at Oklahoma.
You can catch the Highlanders in regular season action December 12 against Nitro.
