Thanksgiving Sunday Travel

By: Brooke Thacker
Video will be available shortly

The day before thanksgiving is considered the busiest travel day of the year. And the Sunday after Thanksgiving could be considered the second busiest.

Everyone is headed home after spending the Thanksgiving holiday with loved ones, but sometimes it's not the destination, it's the journey that you remember most.

On the West Virginia Turnpike, drivers are taking advice to make sure they travel safely. Operators work quickly to make sure you get on your way. And while some took the toll, others took to the skies.

At home in Paintsville, he's just Jammie, but in the U.S. Army, he's Private Jammie Kestner. He's trying to find the quickest way to get back to his station in Virginia before he get's in trouble.

It's the toll of traveling…a hassle to be thankful for on this Thanksgiving weekend.

AAA estimates more than 38 million people are traveling during the holiday weekend.
