CARTER COUNTY, Ky. (WSAZ) -- Kentucky State Police have charged two people in connection with placing threats against a Carter County Judge on an internet blog site.

State Police charged both David S. Justice, 62, and Kelly Hall, 31, with "Intimidating a Participate in Legal Process," according to a news release.

KSP says the threats were directed toward Carter District Judge Rupert Wilhoit.

According to a news release, the comments were "intimidating in nature" and had been posted on the internet blog site,Topix.

Commonwealth Atorney David Flatt notified KSP of the posts back on Friday.

The release does not name the judge who was threatened or the nature of the threats.

Both Justice and Hall are in the Carter County Detention Center.

To Anonymous on Jun 9, 2009 at 11:56 PM Freedom of speech? So if someone threatened to kill you, you'd have no problem because it's freedom of speech? They gave up their rights when they crossed the line of threatening others. Besides the alleged "blog" is topix news sight. It would be the same if someone posted a threat on here. What if someone wrote a letter, by your "logic" that's also freedom of speech.

I agree with Gina's comment from June 10th. You don't know this girl. You don't know a thing about her and her family. Some people will *always* laugh at other people's mistakes. These people are the 1st ones to gawk at a car wreck, the 1st to laugh at someone tripping on stairs...whatever. If *they* were the ones on the other side of the issue, perhaps they wouldn't be so eager to wheeze and bray about it? If this were YOUR daughter would you like people laughing like this? This is someone's child, someone's sister and yes...she is an innocent child's mother. Ooooh, it sickens me...so many people to laugh, but none who want to help. Gina, I sympathize with your zeal, but don't blame that old school mate who couldn't spell Kelli's name correctly. The website has it as "Kelly", too ! As we have seen here, "monkey see, monkey do."
