On Sunday night in Charleston, Baha'is celebrated the 90th anniversary in West Virginia. The religion came to the United States in the 1890s. Today, it has more than 150,000 members, and 60 live in Charleston. They view all the world's major religions as a part of a single progressive process through which God reveals his will to humanity.
The central theme of the Baha'i religion is unity. Religions may differ, but the hope of unity does not.
Unlike some religions, Baha'is has no clergy. Instead, they have local spiritual assemblies that govern their affairs.
