Wild, Windy Weather Strikes Region

It's a day of wild weather around the region. There have been no severe storms Friday, but minor wind damage has occurred in several counties.

Strong wind gusts have meant scattered power outages. Utility lines have been downed by broken tree limbs and the repair crews are out and working.

A wall of a burnt out building on Charleston Avenue in Huntington came crashing down. The walls of the building have weakened since it burned several years ago. A few good neighbors helped clean up the mess.

Trees were knocked down at a Christmas tree lot at Stewart's Hotdogs on Fifth Avenue.

Wind damage was also reported in the Teays Valley area of Putnam County.
