There will be no ambulance agreement in Lawrence County, Kentucky, so the state will now bring in a temporary provider.
The county and it's current provider, Trans-Star out of Prestonsburg, could not come to terms on a subsidy agreement.
The state E.M.S. board says it will bring in a temporary ambulance service, likely from Boyd County.
Trans-Star's owner says he will pull out completely at 4 pm on Monday.
County officials say they will look at setting up a county run ambulance service, and that may require a tax levy or they may try to find a new private provider.
