WSAZ AND Time Warner Reach Agreement

WSAZ NewsChannel 3 Vice President and General Manager Don Ray announced today WSAZ and Time-Warner Cable have reached an agreement in principle that will allow WSAZ to continue to serve viewers without interruption in the Time Warner service areas.

While details of the agreement are confidential, under the agreement WSAZ will remain on all Time Warner systems and their My Z TV channel will be on basic analog service on the Ashland and Ironton systems and on a digital tier on the Jackson and Portsmouth systems.

This agreement indicates progress has been made in the negotiations between WSAZ NewsChannel 3 and Time Warner cable for the carriage of WSAZ and My ZTV.

Ray said “We couldn’t have reached this agreement without the support of our loyal viewers. Fifty-seven years of service to those communities paid off.”

WSAZ-TV, WSAZ-DT, My Ztv, WSAZ.COM, MYZTV.TV and WSAZ Wireless serve viewers in West Virginia, Ohio, and Kentucky with severe weather and breaking news coverage. More people receive their news, weather and sports from WSAZ platforms than all other local stations combined.
