On Friday, developers broke ground for the 5,000 square foot, $1.3 million manufacturing plant.
Bio-Diesel is made up used cooking oil and animal fat. It can be used on converted trucks and buses, which is a concept the county is pushing for its school system.
The plant is expected to bring in 24 jobs at first; they say the jobs will pay $15 to $20 an hour, with full benefits and profit sharing.
The bio diesel plant owner says the operations first phase will be up and running in six months.
