Ambulance service for Louisa and all of Lawrence County, Kentucky, is now being covered by a temporary provider out of Martin County.
Trans-Star Ambulance was serving the county on an emergency basis.
It pulled out at 4 pm Monday afternoon after failing to reach a financial agreement with the county.
The new provider, brought in by the state, is Martin County's Net Care Ambulance service.
Lawrence County leaders are now considering setting up its own county ambulance service, that may mean a possible new tax levy.
Voters would have to approved any new levy.
