Crews worked through the night and most of Wednesday to cleanup the Big Sandy Superstore Arena after the post-gala party.
The entire arena floor was covered with green carpet and some of the carpet remnants were thrown away after the event. Janet Swann of Huntington happened to stop by looking for an item her daughter lost. She didn't find it, but instead walked away with a souvenier piece of green carpet.
All of the green carpet that was on 4th Avenue was rolled up and placed in storage at Marshall for future events.
The section of 4th Avenue in front of the Keith Albee was reopened to traffic Wednesday afternoon.
Our own Dave Benton also got on a flight to California Wednesday so he could attend Thursday's premiere of "We Are Marshall" in Hollywood.
Dave will have reports starting Thursday, showing us all the stars who shjow up to see the movie in Hollywood.
