NEW YORK (WSAZ) -- Pop singer Michael Jackson has died at the age of 50. Actress Farrah Fawcett also died earlier Thursday at the age of 62.

About Michael Jackson from the AP:
LOS ANGELES (AP) - An autopsy on the body of pop star Michael Jackson is planned for Friday, though results are not likely to be final until toxicology tests are completed.

The process could take several days and sometimes weeks. However, Los Angeles County Coroner Investigator Jerry McKibben says if a cause can be determined by the autopsy, they will announce the results.

Jackson died Thursday at UCLA Medical Center after being stricken at his rented Los Angeles home. Paramedics tried to resuscitate him for nearly three-quarters of an hour, then rushed him to the hospital, where doctors continued to work on him.

His brother Jermaine says "It is believed he suffered cardiac arrest in his home." However, he says "the cause of his death is unknown until results of the autopsy are known."

Jackson, who was 50, was preparing for what would have been a series of 50 concerts starting July 13 in London.

About Farrah Fawcett:
LOS ANGELES (AP) - Farrah Fawcett has lost the battle against cancer that was detailed in her recent television documentary.

The actress best known for her role on "Charlie's Angels" died today at age 62.

A spokesman says her longtime companion Ryan O'Neal was at her side, along with close friend Alana Stewart.

Fawcett was diagnosed with anal cancer in 2006. Her struggle with painful treatments and dispiriting setbacks was recorded in the NBC documentary "Farrah's Story."

O'Neal says her family and friends take comfort in the knowledge that "her life brought joy to so many people around the world."

Fawcett rocketed to fame in 1976 as one-third of the crime-fighting trio in TV's "Charlie's Angels," a role she left after one year.

Her flowing blond hair, pearly white smile and shapely body helped sell millions of posters -- as well as T-shirts, lunch boxes, shampoo and wigs.

Fawcett had less success in films than she did on the small screen.

She was nominated for an Emmy for her role as an abused wife in a 1984 television movie, "The Burning Bed."

First, and foremost, there is not one person on earth that has the right to judge another. No one knows what has happened in his lifetime, only him and whomever he was with at that time. There is one person who will judge him and that is God himself. So instead of dwelling on what he was alleged of doing, try looking at the good he has done, the people's lives he has influenced. There's no doubting he has a multitude of fans. So please, respect the dead. There's no reason to be so rude and mean. He could've been your brother, son, father, cousin..and I'm guessing only good things would be said; if you or I was in this situation. My Prayers go out to Michael's children and his family. God Bless.

I wish the media would let it go now. We all knew that he would probably die young anyway. Get back to the regular news...please.

Well, one thing we can say for sure...the King of Pop has now met the King of Kings! With all the recent celeb deaths (Ed McMahon, Farrah, MJ, and now Billie Mays, it says one thing loud and clear: You never know when your time is up so you'd better be ready to meet your maker. Get right with God right now if you are not already.
