CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Alexander Doran waived his right to a preliminary hearing. His request for bond was also denied.
Carolyn Mallo also waived her preliminary hearing on Friday. The magistrate reduced her bond to $10,000.
Both cases will now be sent to the grand jury.
During Trina Mallo's hearing, a magistrate found probable cause to send her case to the grand jury.
According to court records, Carolyn Mallo, Trina Mallo, and Alexander Doran, who also goes by the last name Mallo, have a preliminary hearing at 1:30 p.m. in Kanawha County Magistrate Court.
Neighbors say Alexander Doran and Carolyn Mallo are the parents of a 14-year-old accused of killing his elderly neighbor. The murder happened earlier this month in along Frame Street in Charleston.
As a part of their murder investigation, police officers discovered a six and seven year old living in what they describe as deplorable conditions.
