It seems nothing is safe in Gallipolis after the police department received several calls of Christmas decorations stolen.

"We've had 8 calls in the last 2 weeks" says the Gallipolis Police Chief, Clinton Patterson.

Jerry Davis' giant inflatable snowman was taken from his front yard last week "I just looked out my window and frosty was gone."

Just a few blocks away at the Chapman home, a 6 foot tall nutcracker was stolen off the front porch. "It weighs about 70 pounds. It takes 2 people just to carry it out." Steven Chapman purchased the nutcracker 5 years ago "I never dreamed someone would steal it."

The Gallia county sheriff's department has also received calls about decoration thefts out in the county.

If you have any information about this story, the Gallipolis Police department would like to hear from you.
