An 18 year old woman died in a head-on collision in Cross Lanes Thursday.
Deputies say Misty Gaylor lost control of her car and hit another car head-on. It happened at about 2pm Thursday on New Goff Mountain Road near Terramite.
Gaylor died at the scene, and two others were treated for injuries---one of those we're told was considered serious. A witness described the scene as horrifying.
"The blue car fish tailed coming around the corner and when it fish tailed, it went back and forth and it turned sideways into our lanes and they crashed right into each other," said Ryan Turner.
Investigators blame wet roads for contributing to the crash.
New Goff Mountain Road was closed for hours, but it's now back open. This stretch of road is no stranger to accidents. In May, Melissa Stewart was killed when she lost control of her Jeep on Goff Mountain Road.
