Police in eastern Kentucky are investigating a homicide after the remains of a woman were discovered over the weekend.
State Police searched the area around the Right Fork of Beaver.
It's near Martin in Floyd County.
More remains were found there on Wednesday.
They say the remains may have been there for years.
The remains were sent to the state medical examiners office in Frankfort in hopes of matching them with a missing person.
Right now, police are saying the body is that of a white woman.
They believe she was murdered.
It could take up to a week to identify the remains.
