DUNBAR, W.Va. (AP) - Police discovered the bodies of three people who were apparently shot and killed in their own home Sunday. Dunbar Police Chief E.E. Whittington says officers responded to a domestic dispute complaint at approximately 12:15 p.m.
When they arrived, they saw the bodies of two women on the floor just inside the open door of the apartment. Thirty-three-year-old Lori Ann Francis was laying beside the body of her mother, 64-year-old Patricia Francis. Father of Lori and husband of Patricia, 63-year-old Richard Francis, was found dead in a separate room in the apartment.
Whittington says all three had gunshot wounds and there was no sign of forced entry at the Roxalana Hills apartment.
Police believe it may have been a murder-suicide, but they're still investigating. The bodies have been sent to the medical examiner's office and autopsy details are expected on Tuesday.
