UPDATE: 2/12/07: Police in Hagerstown, Maryland arrested Shannon Estel Simpson over the weekend. They say he was driving the 2007 Mustang that was stolen from Bert Wolfe Ford in Charleston.

Two cities, two similar crimes, two felony warrants. The problem: the suspects are on the run. Detectives need your help to catch them.

The first: Charleston Police have named Shannon Estel Simpson one of Charleston's Most Wanted. He's charged with grand larceny in Beckley. Police say he stole a Chevy Truck from the Beckley Auto Mall--and it was found parked at the Knights Inn in Kanawha City. Simpson is also facing the charge of transferring & receiving stolen property in Charleston.

The second incident: a somewhat elaborate swap trick to steal a car--and detectives say the man in the surveillance video was behind it. Police say he stole a brand new 2007 Ford Mustang from Bert Wolfe on Patrick Street.

How he did it: police believe he came into the dealership early in the day and traded out the keys while looking at the car. Later that night, he came back and drove the blue 'stang off the lot.

This suspect told the salesperson his name was "John." Police believe he's in his 20's and is missing his front teeth.
