Police in Huntington are investigating a pair of armed robberies Wednesday evening they believe were committed by the same man. Wednesday's robberies may be connected to a similar robbery in Catlettsburg, Ky. Tuesday night.

The first robbery happened at the CVS Pharmacy on Washington Avenue in Huntington around 6:40 Wednesday evening. Police say a man with a knife entered the pharmacy and demanded money. He then fled with an unknown amount of cash from the register. Police say the robber walked with a limp.

Across town about 15 minutes later the Papa John's Pizza on Hal Greer Blvd. was robbed -- the same story. A man fitting the same description, right down to the limp, showed a knife and grabbed a small amount of cash from the register. Employees chased the man from the store and then called police. At last check police were still looking for the man.

Police in Catlettsburg, Ky. are looking for the person who robbed a downtown business Tuesday evening, and his description is similar to Wednesday night's robberies in Huntington. Police say a man walked into the Tobacco Express on 35th Street and demanded money. According to the clerk, the robber had a small black handgun or possible a TASER. He's described as in his 30's, 5 feet 8 to 5 feet 10 inches tall with a medium build. If you have any information you're asked to contact the Huntington or Catlettsburg police.
