CHESAPEAKE, Ohio (WSAZ) -- A family of seven is looking for place to live after a fire severely damaged their home.
The fire happened at a house in the 69-hundred block of Lick Creek Road outside of Chesapeake, Ohio. It was reported around 9:00 a.m. Thursday.
The State Fire Marshal say the family was returning home when they discoverd the fire, and flagged down a State Highway Patrol Officer.
Firefighters say two adults and their five children lived the house. They say the children range in age from newborn to nine years old. The Red Cross has been called in to help.
A family dog died in the fire.
Five fire departments responded to the fire. Investigators believe the fire started in the kitchen.
