FAYETTE COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A tractor trailer rolled over on the West Virginia Turnpike Thursday night and burst into flames.

The driver made it out of the truck safely.

It happened just before 6 p.m. between the Mossey and Mahan exit, near mile marker 62.

The truck was headed northbound when it rolled and burst into flames.

A spokesperson for the Turnpike Authority tells WSAZ.com that the truck was hauling some sort of large pipes that fell into the south bound lanes. That caused two more cars to wreck.

No serious injuries were reported.

The road was shut down for nearly four hours, but all lanes were re-opened at about 10 p.m.

At one time traffic was backed up 5 to 7 miles.

The turnpike is still closed on august 2, and no one at the site has information to help stranded travelers. My son was stuck there for hours this morning. State workers were supposed to set up a detour. Is this another wreck?
