HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (AP) - Huntington firefighter Carl McFeely didn't let injury stop him from returning to the scene of a fire that claimed seven lives Saturday night.
McFeely ran out of oxygen while saving a woman from the Emmons Junior Apartment Building Saturday night and was treated overnight at St. Mary's Hospital. Sunday morning, he was back on the scene.
McFeely was the only firefighter who was hurt in the blaze that ripped through the 64-unit apartment. More than 100 firefighters from units around the region battled the flames.
