CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - A middle school librarian could lose her job after investigators allege she had inappropriate relationships with two male students.

Kanawha County Schools Superintendent Ron Duerring plans to ask the school board Thursday to terminate Jennifer Kristin Carte-Priestley.

She has been a librarian at Hayes Middle School in St. Albans since November 2002.

Duerring declined to provide details of Carte-Priestley's alleged relationship with the students, saying it is a personnel matter. However, The Charleston Gazette obtained a copy of a memo written by schools personnel attorney Bill Courtney that details the reasons for recommending Carte-Priestley's termination.

According to the memo, Carte-Priestley is accused of taking two boys to Taco Bell and then to her home, where they allegedly smoked marijuana last fall. The memo also accuses Carte-Priestley of giving an anti-anxiety drug to one of the boys and later trying to concoct a story to explain their visit to her home.

Courtney also notes that Carte-Priestley was suspended with pay last fall after disobeying a directive to stop communicating with students on the social networking site

Attempts to reach Carte-Priestley for comment were unsuccessful.
