Charleston Mayor Supports East End Project

Developers of an East End housing and office complex discussed the project with the Historic Landmark Commission.

The complex would be built along Kanawha Boulevard and Washington Street East, between Chesapeake and East Avenues.

Charleston Mayor Danny Jones said his administration supports the project and it would be a great investment.

The commission didn't make a recommendation.

If the developer receives approval from several city agencies, construction could begin sometime this year.
