WVU Board of Governors Chairman Stephen Goodwin says more than 20 people have applied to succeed retiring President David Hardesty.
Goodwin wouldn't identify any of the applicants. He says the committee will choose three finalists and the Board of Governors could make a final decision at its April 13th meeting.
The board has hired R. William Funk and Associates, a national executive search firm, to help with the search.
Hardesty plans to retire in September.
