House for Troubled Teens

By: Michael Wooten Email

It was a tragedy that touched Father Andrew Counts.

He lives in the same neighborhood where four teens were shot and killed back in May of 2005. But as he grieved for the loss, Father Counts and his wife followed their faith.

He and the congregation at the All Saints Anglican Church took a proactive approach and bought the house where the crime occurred.

Tonight, the home sits vacant, but the church has big plans.

Members hope to transform it into a memorial to those who died, and also a place for young people to get counseling to stay on the straight and narrow.
