HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (AP) - The American Red Cross has raised 56-thousand dollars to help victims of a deadly apartment building fire in Huntington.
The latest donation came from the United Way of the River Cities, which contributed five-thousand dollars.
Scott Jarrett with the Cross Central West Virginia Chapter says the Red Cross now has enough money for the relief effort and is no longer actively seeking donations.
Jarrett says the Red Cross has provided food, clothing, rental assistance, mental health counseling and other aid to victims of the fire.
The January 13th fire at the Emmons apartment building killed nine people.
