Fatal Fire Victim Identified

Police say a woman from Lincoln County died in a trailer fire Wednesday afternoon.

Billie Hughes was blind and couldn't escape her burning home.

The fire happened at about 4pm just off Cobbs Creek Road near Sod.

Police tell us a neighbor spotted the fire and called for help, but by the time the emergency crews got to the scene, it was too late.

Hughes was 33-years-old.
