A former Kentucky State Trooper was back in court Friday, now facing even more felony drug charges.
Louie Podunavac was once the head of narcotics investigations for the Ashland Post.
The ex-trooper was recently indicted on charges he stole powerful painkillers from the post evidence room.
Podunavac has already pleaded guilty in federal court to stealing more than $180,000 meant for undercover drug buys.
Prosecutors are upset Podunavac hasn't spent one day in jail.
Podunavac's attorney says his client became horribly addicted to painkillers after an injury and stole money to feed his drug cravings.
The former trooper remains free on bond.
