Loretta Lynn Talks to WSAZ

The pride of Butcher Holler Kentucky performed at Lincoln County High School Saturday night. The concert was part of The Friends of the Arts Concert series.

Loretta talked exclusively with Newschannel 3's Dave Benton during her visit to the area. She talked about how much she loved being back in the area. She says Lincoln County reminds her of where she grew up in Johnson County, Kentucky.

Lynn has written more than 160 songs and released 70 albums. She has had seventeen #1 albums and twenty-seven #1 singles on the country charts. Lynn has won four Grammy Awards, seven American Music Awards, eight Broadcast Music Incorporated awards, and ten Academy of Country Music awards. In 1972, Lynn was the first woman named "Entertainer of the Year" by the Country Music Association. Lynn also has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Lynn told Dave her next project is a Christmas Album.
