The Challenger League broke ground Monday on a new construction project with hopes to make the game easier for these special athletes. Beneath the snow and mud is the foundation of what will soon be a handicapped accessible baseball diamond, but it's not cheap -- 50 to 60 thousand dollars more is needed to complete the project.

Organizers hope the field will be a big draw for other children and hope to eventually grow the league beyond southern Ohio into the rest of the Tri-state.
