King's Daughters Celebrates Heart Health

Moms typically stay so busy doing for others that they don’t take time for themselves. That’s why on Saturday, King’s Daughters Medical Center pulled out all the stops to make sure women got heart smart.

Studies more women die from cardiovascular disease than any other cause, making it even more important for women to recognize the symptoms, and beat the risk.

It only takes a couple of minutes to determine if you are low, medium or high risk, and some of the signs can be as common as having flu-like symptoms, chills, back pain and even pain in the jaw.

It is the first year for the event and organizers are happy with the turnout. About 300 people participated in the activities.
