CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) -- The former owner of a Mingo County trucking company has received a suspended sentence and probation for workers' compensation fraud.

Forty-year-old Leonard H. Cline Jr. had pleaded guilty in June to five counts of workers' compensation fraud.

Insurance Commissioner Jane L. Cline said Kanawha County Circuit Court Judge Duke Bloom sentenced Leonard Cline on Wednesday to one to three years in prison on each count. Bloom then suspended the sentence and gave Leonard Cline five years of probation.

Leonard Cline formerly owned H & H Trucking. The insurance commissioner says he defrauded the old state workers' compensation system of more than $500,000 in unpaid premiums, penalties and claims for benefits over about 10 years.
