Investigators in Putnam County are looking for a robber who apparently didn't want money, but drugs. The robbery happened just before 10 Tuesday morning.
Sheriff's deputies say a man walked into the ValuRite Pharmacy on Route 62 in Poca, pulled out a gun and demanded prescription drugs. They say he got about $2,600 worth of Oxycontin and Hydrocone.
The pharmacist says once the suspect got the drugs he ran out of the store -- and officers are still out looking for him.
We have a description of the suspect from the Putnam County Sheriff's Department: he's a man in his twenties, about 6' 1" tall, and approximately 200 pounds. He was wearing a brown trenchcoat and tobogan, and blue jeans. Police say it appears that the suspect hasn't shaved for 2 to 3 days. They believe he got away on foot.
Deputies say the suspect's gun was a small silver revolver.
Call the Putnam County Sheriff's Department at (304) 586-0256 if you have any information about the suspect.
