West Virginia State Police have arrested and charged two people in the murder of Travis Huff in Barboursville.
Officers arrested 20-year-old Charles Blevins in Williamson Tuesday night. The second arrest happened after 22-year-old Donnie Ray Evans of McCarr, Ky. contacted police. Officers arrested him early Wednesday morning.
According to the criminal complaint, the two suspects were with Huff at a local bar late Sunday night.
Officers believe Huff was facilitating a drug deal by taking the suspects to meet his cousin Richard Layman.
Layman told officers he was inside his Barboursville home, when he heard noises from outside.
Police say Huff's cousin saw the victim fighting with the two suspects, and Blevins had a gun.
Layman told officers he then heard a shot "and he ran to hide in a back bedroom."
Officers say Layman's house -- where the suspect was killed -- was a known drug house.
Huff was shot and killed around 1 a.m. Monday at the East Pea Ridge trailer.
Blevins was arraigned late Wednesday morning. Evans is expected to be arraigned later Wednesday afternoon.
