First time home buyers will have an easier time getting a loan to purchase their house in West Virginia.

The state has completed a $60-million bond issue, allowing the Housing Development Fund to offer loans without a down payment.

The fund will help about 600 West Virginians purchase their first home.

The housing fund provides mortgage loans to West Virginians with low to moderate income.
