Police Impersonator Killed During Home Invasion

Two men dressed as police officers went into a house in Boyd County, Kentucky. Now one of them is dead.

Police say they tied up the homeowner, Jason Daniels. Daniels broke free and began shooting at the two intruders. One man was hit and jumped through a window to escape. The other was not shot and ran out the front door.

This happened a little after 7:30 last night at a house on Route 5. One of the police impersonators got dropped off at Kings Daughters Medical Center with a gunshot wound and he later died.

Police say he is Robert Lewis Chapman...50 years old and from Greenup. Police also arrested another man...22 year old Adam Justice of Summitt. He was found in a bloody van not far from the hospital. Justice is now charged with burglary and impersonating a police officer.

The homeowner, Jason Daniels, was not injured.
