Kanawha School Board to Cut 30 Jobs

The Kanawha County Board of Education will cut nearly 30 positions for the 2007-2008 school year.

The Charleston Gazette is reporting about 15 of those positions will be special needs teachers.

The school board hopes most of the cuts will come from teachers either retiring or moving.

The board does plan on adding at least 3 service positions next year.
