Some people in Prichard may go to bed Saturday night without a shower.

Crews say cold weather is to blame for a broken pipe on Whites Creek Road. Residents there say it is an ongoing problem.

Crews from Kenova worked around the clock to fix the broken pipe, but the weekend water woes are an inconvenience for families.

In February, Kenova residents dealt with busted pipes and new water lines as a result of the city’s water project.

The mayor says tonight’s incident and the water project are not connected.

Before we left the scene Saturday night, crews told us the problem should be fixed by midnight. There is no word on whether the water is back on for those residents.
