CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- An attorney in Putnam County has been indicted by a federal grand jury.

According to the indictment, Patrick B. Anderson advised a couple to transfer the ownership of its mobile home on Harmon's Creek Road in Putnam County to their daughter before filing for bankruptcy.

The couple then paid Anderson $150 to prepare the deed of conveyance in February 2007.

It also alleges the scheme was for Anderson to conceal certain assets from the bankruptcy trustee to deprive the couple's creditors of receiving payment for unsecured claims.

Anderson was charged with bankruptcy fraud and fraudulent transfer and concealment of assets.

The couple's name was not listed in the indictment.

Pat is a good person with a very big, thoughtful heart. Why not hold that prison cell instead for those who are hurting kids through drugs. Pat is certainly not harmful through however he may choose to live. I think we shouldn't judge. I'm sure Pat did not hold a weapon to the people he was trying to help save their home. Just wondering what their penalty may be!!

First of all Patrick comes from a good family, but he has finally gotten what he deserves. Patrick Anderson has owed me several thousand dollars for nearly a decade. This just shows that what goes around, comes around.
