LOGAN, W.Va. (AP) - A 49-year-old Gilbert man has admitted to killing a former Logan County football standout last year.
Kenneth Ramsey Senior pleaded guilty Monday to involuntary manslaughter in the death of 20-year-old Raymond Knox of Logan last April.
Ramsey admitted to Logan Circuit Judge Roger Perry that he shot and killed Knox following an argument. But he claimed he fired in self defense after Knox pulled a gun on him outside a home in Bengal Hollow.
Ramsey was originally charged with first-degree murder.
Knox graduated from Logan High School in 2004, where he was a four-year football standout.
