A truck driver has died in a crash on Interstate 64 in Carter County, Kentucky. This crash happened a little after ten o'clock Wednesday morning near the Olive Hill exit.
State police say that the semi truck had broken down. The driver got out to place road flares and he was hit by a car driving full speed and trying to pass him. The truck driver died from his injuries. Police have not released his name, as they have yet to notify his family, but they did tell us that he is not from our region.
The eastbound lanes of the interstate were closed for nearly three hours. All lanes are now open.
