Not just to promote my own adjenda, but it is a fact that war creates depression. Army suicides are on the rise each year from the current wars in the middle east. It is a fact that the War on Drugs is responsible for 70% of the violence that police see. Just like during alcohol prohibition, those with the illegal merchandise will shoot to protect it an stay out of jail. End the war on drugs and you will see police in better mental health.

There are 130-150 police suicides each year. This is truly a high risk group, exposed and re-exposed to traumatic events over the years and decades that would make anyone recoil in horror. Everyone should share this concern for these public servants.

its hard to have much of a family life or social life...which can be stressfull for the officer and his/her family. The hours are long, they deal with all kinds of people, and while most people are home with their families and friends on holidays they are out there working....not to mention lots of officers have prior mil service which has prob taken a toll on them. God bless all the officers who work hard to keep us safe :)
